Individuals, who intend to visit
the US as a tourist or for medical treatment, are
eligible for B-2 Visa. It is issued at US consulate
abroad or American embassy and is sometimes valid
for indefinite period of time. The duration of stay
is stamped in I-94 card during entry into the US.
The general procedure and required documents to obtain
a B2 Visa are discussed in this section. Foreign citizens
must be travelling to the U.S. for tourism for a period
of not more than 90 days, must have a round trip ticket,
fly on certain air carriers, and meet other requirements.

Your duration of stay in US can
be obtained from the right hand corner of I-94 card
in your passport. It is recommended that you should
apply for an extension of stay at least 45 days prior
to your authorized stay expires.

The application and fee should be
mailed to the USCIS Service Center that serves the
area where you are temporarily staying. If your extension
of stay is approved, you will receive an I-94 card
with new expiration date.
